Ready for painting!

"No no no. That's not good," says Dana. "That's why there aren't any more unicorns!"

  2. Wow! The sketch is exactly how I've visualized it this morning. I was thinking to myself.. what if the horse and rider was partially behind some huge oak tree :D The unicorn's head looks a little odd though.. a bit small or something??

  3. Fantastic scene, Stephanie -- I find it to be thought-provoking, in that I wonder if the woman is going along with this willingly, or if the men are bullying/blackmailing her into becoming unicorn bait. It's too bad that for all of their willingness to be pet by a virgin, unicorns aren't more sensitive to metal (and daggers)! I still think this is one of your strongest horse figures, and I think you've done well with the challenging angle of the unicorn. I'm sure your technique with watercolors will help with the spacial considerations here, "pushing" its head down onto her lap and perhaps highlighting her knee as something higher than its mouth. Eagerly awaiting your next update!

  4. I love your unicorn! Maybe this could be a series telling a story of something unpredicted? A story where the unicorn prevails? I also love the face in the tree behind her!
