The second in my "Witch's Knights" trio. Black knight will be coming, but before I get to him, I have to take a brief detour to work on the cover for my upcoming Dreamscapes book. Once that's done, I can come back to finishing this series. To see the earlier piece, the white knight, -click here-.
Beautiful! I love love love the colors! And the horse looks very good in this one. The dogs too (and the popping poppies :-D and everything else); they look like irish wolfhounds. Well I almost always trash my aquarelles in the middle when I (almost always) start hating the colors. This gives me hope; if I just can stand keep working on them, like you did even though you were unsure about the colors, maybe they can end up at least likeable :-D
ReplyDeleteWow! ...Steph, come on, be brave, and make those hounds in the foreground, pop a little more ...a major triumph, with only your genius...:)
ReplyDeleteThere's an upcoming dreamscapes book?!
ReplyDeleteYes, next one is probably out either christmas or spring of next year. I finished the manuscript several months ago already.
ReplyDeleteIs there a way to pre-order? I want it :D
ReplyDeleteNot yet, because there's no official release date yet. I'll notify people on my mailing list and blogs when it is.
ReplyDeleteOk, thanks! I'll keep an eye peeled.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing. I saw the previous painting and as russian, i can say, that the white knight is more slavic then the red. When i had seen the red knight for the first time, i thought that this painting have chinese style.
ReplyDeleteP/S Baba Yaga is one of the most famous mystic persons in our tales, but i haven't ever thought that meet her servants in your paintings. It's impressed me so much.
