Wolf and Cat

Medium: Watercolors
Size: 5.5x7 inches

A wedding invitation + save the date card set commission.

It's hard to get much painting done these days. Easier to do drawings and sketches one-armed. But on the few occasions when the little one is feeling mellow enough this is how I'm getting any work done:

  1. It is a very beautiful painting...:) Love the photo of you and your baby. A very peaceful moment for you both and what contentment to be in that space with you even asleep in your arms...:)

  2. Aww what a gorgeous little darling! Gosh, it must be difficult finding the time to paint at the moment, but no doubt when she's sleeping for longer periods you can get back to working on bigger pics
Loved your work for many years now! Only just started reading your blog though, but I'm really enjoying it, so thanks for sharing :)
I have one of your gorgeous prints hanging on my wall! (I'll have to get some more sometime to go with it!)

  4. Ah, the little one is fast a sleep and mommy is working her magic. It won't be long before the little munchkin is turned around in that sling and helping you paint. That is gonna be something special.

I still can't believe that you work like that Steph, on such a small table and having your water and paints on your left side even though you are a righty.....very dangerous, but whom am I to tell a master. By the way, your wedding invitation is beautiful.

  5. You put it all on your right james? I can't imagine working like that! I like it on my left because then my arm just moves a short distance to get the water/colors. On my right side I would be knocking the water over constantly with my elbow or something! Heh, i guess it's different if I'm working on an easel but I've only done that with oils and acrylics. With watercolors I've always worked flat.

  8. I'm glad that I'm not the only one who sets water to the left and not the right. Art professors got onto me for that and I never figured out why. I love your painting as always. I can't wait until I can your next Dreamscape book. Your baby is a doll.
