Final batch of matted pieces

Final batch of these for Dragoncon's art show in less than a month!

More mats

Almost done with the mats. Just a few more to go. These will be for sale at the Dragoncon art auction over Labor Day weekend in Atlanta, GA.

Another batch of matted pieces

Another batch of matted pieces that will be available at Dragoncon art auction. Having fun with these.

More matted pieces for Dragoncon

More matting and drawing today. Got a few more of them done. Here's a peek at some more of what will be on offer in the art show auction at dragoncon. These are prints with hand drawn ink on the boarders of the mats.

 Dreaming Beyond the Gray

Smoke and Flame

Where the Shadow Used to Fall

Midnight at the Crossroads

Madly Matting

Matting furiously to get ready for Dragoncon (Labor day weekend in Atlanta, GA). Here are a few of the prints with hand-inked mats that I'll be having for sale in the art show auction.  I'll scan and post more in the next week as I do the rest of them!

Inner Workings

Labyrinthine

White Flame

One left from Dragoncon - Matted Print

Only one of my ink-sketched pieces was leftover after Dragoncon.  So it's up for sale now on Etsy. This is a print of "Wind Machine" (Print image size is 9x15.5 inches) with full matted size 14x20.5 inches. The ink drawing along the edge of the mat is original artwork drawn directly onto the piece.

Dragoncon preparation

This past week has been occupied with matting and preparing things for the DragonCon Art show (September, in Atlanta). I'll have some original paintings as well, but for the prints, I like to customize them a little bit. Instead of a plain frame, I do ink drawings on the mat. So here are some of the pieces I'll be offering this year. Still have a few more to do this next week and will post when those are done too!

More Remarques & News on the Minors Book

A couple more remarques. Almost done. Just need to get the Tam Lin giclees in so that I can mat one of those!

Chessmates (still one of my favorite paintings).

Dragon's Pearl. For this one decided to do a little bit of storytelling in the ink drawing to go with the painting.

Spent most of today actually going over my final draft of The Art of Shadowscapes Tarot - Minor Arcana. I'm hoping to send it to press in a week or two, which would mean the books would be ready about the end of October. Unfortunately not in time for SF BATS or Dragoncon, but I didn't want to rush it. Although I might have the proof ready for viewing at DC for pre-orders. It'll be 160 pages (quite a bit chunkier than the Majors book which was only 96 pages) and will probably be $55.00 (with a +$15.00 option for a sketch in the front as usual).

More Remarques

More remarques for the prints I'm putting in Dragoncon's art show.

Almost done, just a couple more to go.

A peek at a few more of them:
