Some minor progress made on the dragon painting. I think I'm going for gold-tones for this one. No defined idea yet for exact colors...just want something different from the blues and greens I've been doing a lot of lately.

Between the Seams - It's done, proofs have arrived, been approved, and the book has gone to press today! That means that it'll be here and ready for shipping in about two months!

A much more detailed sketch than I usually do. But going to be trying out a different technique with this piece!
Sketchbook scribbles. This was about 2 months ago. Was just messing around, but didn't know what I would do with the piece just yet. It's been sitting in my sketchbook since, waiting for me.
Rough compositional ideas. Played around with a few. I knew I wanted her to be balancing on something....
Tightened up the sketch of the figure.
Today at the Berkeley Rose Garden. A beautiful old oak on the hillside with branches that spread out across some steps and a concrete slide.
It's a sort of coral/bone-ish texture I've used often, but I wanted to do something focusing more on that. Which is where this piece started out. It's also a bit more along the Inner Workings theme I wanted to explore more.
